Job Description

As a Marketing Intern, you will support both our internal marketing efforts and client-facing projects. You’ll work across traditional marketing, digital strategy, and social media execution. This role is hands-on: you’ll research markets, craft messaging, create content, and help shape marketing strategies that directly impact startup clients. You’ll collaborate with our consulting team to develop campaigns that drive visibility, engagement, and customer growth.

This role is Remote, based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Preference for candidates pursuing or holding a graduate degree (MBA, MS Marketing, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation tools.
  • Interest in startups, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Bonus: experience with Canva, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, and similar tools.

Responsibilities

Traditional Marketing
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support client strategy.
  • Assist in developing marketing collateral (presentations, one-pagers, case studies).
  • Support email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and CRM updates.
  • Help coordinate events, webinars, and outreach initiatives.
  • Draft messaging and positioning materials for client pitches and investor decks.
Social Media & Digital Marketing
  • Create and schedule content across LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, and other platforms.
  • Monitor social media performance and compile analytics reports.
  • Assist in developing paid social or digital ad campaigns.
  • Research trends, hashtags, and emerging platforms relevant to startup audiences.
  • Engage with online communities and support brand-building activities.
General Support
  • Participate in client meetings and internal strategy sessions.
  • Help maintain organized project documentation and timelines.
  • Contribute creative ideas to improve marketing processes and client outcomes.
